The Driftwood Garden Club was established in 1952 as a non-profit organization to “obtain a practical knowledge of gardening, to assist in preserving the natural beauties of Marblehead, and to practice the art of flower arranging.” In 2026, we do all that and more!
During the summer, our DGC members work in teams to care for two properties: The Abbot Public Library gardens and the courtyard and gardens at Farrell Court, a property under the auspices of the Marblehead Housing Authority. With direction from our two Civic Chairs, Kathy B. and Joy G., our member work groups make these gardens flourish from spring cleanup, through the dog days of summer, until the fall cleanup.
